On March 11, BloombergNEF (BNEF) published a list of top world wind turbine manufacturers in 2020. Shanghai Electric earned its spot at the 7th ranking by commissioning 4.77 GW in 2020 based on its overwhelming advantages in the Chinese offshore wind power market, four positions higher than in 2019.

It is reported that the 2020 list is hugely different from that in 2019 because Chinese manufacturers occupies 7 positions in the top 10. As for offshore wind power market, Shanghai Electric consolidates its leading position by an installation capacity of 1.56GW. Shanghai Electric comes second to Siemens Gamesa in the global offshore wind power market.
