From November 5 to 10, the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai. An array of new products, technologies, and services that make their global or domestic debut show enormous potential for cooperation. As a high-end equipment manufacturer, Shanghai Electric focused on Global 500 and leaders in industrial Internet, electrical engineering, and machinery. It has entered into over ten import contracts or framework agreements valued at 2,375 million yuan, an increase of nearly 500 million yuan from the previous year.
These purchase agreements included PV support brackets from NT, gas turbines from Italy, wind turbine main bearings from Rothe Erde, and superconducting magnetic resonance and CT scanners from Canon. Shanghai Electric and Siemens Energy also announced cooperation on intelligent energy empowerment center at the collective signing ceremony for the state-owned-assets sub-group of the Shanghai Trade Group on November 17.
CIIE offers a platform for domestic players to find innovative solutions for transformation and understand new products and technologies from top players and market dynamics. Learning the R&D, management, marketing, and successes of foreign enterprises will urge Shanghai Electric to pick up space in transformation and reform. By improving both service and efficiency and driving market-oriented innovation, Shanghai Electric will shape itself into a competitive brand.
