Shanghai Electric recently issued the "Notice on Tasks for The Third China International Import Expo (CIIE)", marking the start of CIIE preparations at Shanghai Electric.

A project team headed by the group's deputy secretary of the party committee has also been set up to follow through the principles defined by the local government for the upcoming CIIE and to deliver on the responsibilities of the group as a member of the Stated-Owned-Assets Sub-group of the Shanghai Trade Group. With members from the Group Office, Economic Operations Dept., Party-Masses Work Dept. (Corporate Culture Dept.), and Safety and Environmental Protection Dept., the team is responsible for facilitating the registration by professional visitors, evaluating purchase demand, handling procurement orders, coordinating contract signing, organizing publicity and media reception, and developing epidemic response measures. All the branches and subsidiaries are required to provide necessary support.

It is learned that the CIIE online registration is open to professional visitors. According to the list of overseas exhibitors and the latest record of orders, Shanghai Electric has evaluated potential purchase demand and amount and summarized transaction items and size. The security department at Shanghai Electric will develop an epidemic response plan based on the data about registered professionals and signed foreign guests to protect their health during the exhibition.
