Shanghai Electric Achieves Four Consecutive Wins in the High-Efficiency and Clean Coal Power Market

Recently, Shanghai Electric has won four consecutive orders for steam turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment for the Phase V of Jiangsu Ligang Power Plant (2×1000 MW), Jiangling Industrial Park (2×660 MW), Qinhuangdao Power Plant (2×350 MW), and Langfang Power Plant (Phase II) (2×350 MW), laying a solid foundation for the achievement of the annual target.

Jiangsu Ligang Power Plant Project is located in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, and the Phase III and Phase IV of Ligang Project all use Shanghai Electric turbines. The Phase V of the 2×1000 MW high-efficiency and clean coal-fired power generation project is the second batch of new ultra-supercritical coal power projects in Jiangsu Province, which will meet the needs of economic and social development, enhance the power supply capacity, improve power system support, increase power supply configuration, and optimize the installed power structure of Jiangsu Province. The proposed 2×1000 MW double reheat turbine is the most advanced turbine in the thermal power industry, and also the flagship product of Shanghai Electric. Based on the "Three Intelligence" platform, Shanghai Electric will adopt a comprehensive structure to meet the requirements of high efficiency and flexibility, providing better performance under high efficiency and wide load operation with intelligent operation and maintenance systems.

Jiangling 2×660 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power unit project is located in the new energy and new material industrial park of Jiangling County, Jingzhou. The project is to construct 2 sets of 660 MW ultra-supercritical double reheat coal-fired power units, and flue gas denitrification, dedusting and desulfurization devices. The project is a "junction" power plant with storage and transmission function, which is clearly laid out and supported by the national "14th Five-Year Plan: Modern Energy System Planning", and plays an important role in local economic development. This project is a renewed collaboration between Shanghai Electric and Three Gorges Corporation in the traditional energy field, an opportunity for both parties to cooperate in the new energy field, and the foundation for deepened future cooperation.

Qinhuangdao Power Plant is located in the eastern industrial area of Qinhuangdao Haigang District, at the eastern end of the State Grid Jibei Electric Power. The awarded project is the equivalent capacity replacement project of the Phase I of the power plant, which is to expand 2×350 MW high-efficiency supercritical heating units, mainly supplying heat to the Haigang District of Qinhuangdao City and power supply to the region. The project is the world's first 350 MW high-efficiency supercritical coal-fired thermal power unit using cylindrical high-pressure cylinders, and marks a new milestone in the research and development of this type of unit by Shanghai Electric.

Langfang Power Plant Phase II project is one of CHN Energy's top ten key projects in 2023, with simultaneous construction of flue gas desulfurization, denitrification, dust removal and other environmental protection facilities. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can realize the supply of electricity, heat, cold and steam, further promote the economic and social development of the city, meet the city's urgent demand for electricity and heat, and provide a strong support for the city's efforts in supply-side transformation and accelerating green and low-carbon development of energy. The project is Shanghai Electric's first supporting molten salt energy storage plant system, of which the proposed No. 4 turbine is an efficient and flexible coal-fired power generation key technology demonstration unit. The molten salt thermal storage technology and the condensate heat storage technology are planned to be implemented simultaneously.
