On October 18, at the Innovation Theater of the China Wind Power 2023 (CWP2023), Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Electric Wind Power") released new land and offshore products. China Quality Certification Centre issued certificates for the two new Poseidon platform products of Shanghai Electric Wind Power.

At CWP2023, EW14.0-263 and EW18.0-263 offshore wind turbines, the new generation of semi-direct drive products, were launched, which are specially designed for the complex environment of deep and distant sea by Poseidon. The diameter of the rotor has increased from 252 meters to 263 meters, and the turbine capacity has expanded to a maximum of 18 MW. The EW14.0-263 turbine is suitable for medium and low wind speed sea area with an annual average wind speed below 8.5 meters per second, while the EW18.0-263 turbine is suitable for high wind speed sea area with an annual average wind speed of 10 meters per second, and both of them can reach an ultimate wind speed of 57 meters per second.

Based on the benchmark wind farm case of onshore batch operation, Shanghai Electric Wind Power adopted the platform-based, modular and customized mode, created a new generation of double-fed onshore products, and released the 10 MW class turbines for the application in deserts, Gobi regions and barren lands, including EW10.0-230 and EW8.35-220 for different scenarios. It is worth mentioning that, at CWP2023, Shanghai Electric Wind Power also launched the EW6.25-202 and EW5.0-202 turbines suitable for onshore plants with low, ultra-low wind speeds. The power of the excellent platforms ranges from 5MW to 10MW, and the rotor’s diameter level ranges from 202 meters to 230 meters. With a platform-based and modularized concept, they can meet the market demands of large bases in the wilderness and plants with low and ultra-low wind speeds.

At the CWP2023, Shanghai Electric Wind Power also showcased a comprehensive test and verification system for blades, towers, drive chains and other core components, further enhancing the cornerstone of the "highly reliable" solutions. The digital products and services empowerment program, after-market operation and maintenance, and Asia's first SOV, all presented at the event, can comprehensively meet the market demands.
