China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) recently released the "Credit Rating of Chinese International Contractors and Labor Service Providers (2020)". Shanghai Electric received AAA, the highest credit rating.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak early this year, Shanghai Electric has overcome difficulties in epidemic response and project execution to fulfill goals of the year. Smooth installation of major equipment in Dubai, the hoisting of the first nacelle for the Senj wind farm in Croatia, the conclusion of the steel structure installation for Thar Power Plant No.2 boiler -- all this amid the pandemic has improved China's image of overseas engineering.

The credit evaluation supported by China's commerce authorities is organized by CHINCA and undertaken by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE). The contractors will be assessed in comprehensive capabilities, competitiveness, finance, credit history, overseas market development, and project execution. The rating has been a key indicator for overseas business capabilities.
