The COVID-19 outbreak has attracted the attention of everyone at Shanghai Electric. As soon as their return to work, Shanghai Electric employees have actively answered to the call of the group in raising money to fight the novel coronavirus pneumonia. More than 8.8 million yuan has been collected as of March 4.

To support the pandemic battle in key affected areas, the party work groups at Shanghai Electric jointly issued on February 11 the "Notice on Charity Donation Campaign in Fight Against Outbreak". While following through the guidelines of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions made by the central and local governments in epidemic control and work resumption, all units were required to properly organize the campaign at such a crucial time. All party members must remain committed to their original aspirations and missions, and set a good example for the general employees by taking the lead in donation. "An Open Letter to All Employees" was also issued to encourage all to carry forward the tradition of the Chinese people—If one is in need, all render help, and show their support for Wuhan through active participation in donation.
