On February 15, the team at the Wassit Thermal Power Plant in Baghdad, Iraq sent out 30,000 disposable masks and 200 protective suits in the name of Shanghai Electric to the frontline in Wuhan.

The donation was covered by the International Business Daily, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, in the "Kinship and Friendship from Iraq" special report. It presented the story of the Chinese-funded enterprises and people in Iraq collecting tons of medical supplies for Wuhan.

The project team has kept a close eye on the fight against the outbreak, and raised funds during the Spring Festival to relieve pressure from the acute epidemic and medical material shortage in China. It is not an easy task for the team to purchase the already scarce supplies in Iraq.

With the help of Iraq-China Chamber of Commerce, the donation was sent to Wuhan Public Security Bureau and the College of Life Sciences at Wuhan University.
