After winning a series of bids from over 150 high schools in districts of Chongming, Yangpu, Minhang and Pudong on building physical and chemical test platforms, recently, Shanghai Electric Automation D&R Institute Co., Ltd. has been busy with project implementation that is expected to be delivered in mid-May.

Physical and chemical tests are now included in Shanghai’s high school entrance examination after reform. To ensure new policies being smoothly implemented, Shanghai Electric Automation Group leverages its technological strengths to build a “smart test” platform for physical and chemical tests. By adopting an AI-enabled smart scaling system, the project can accurately capture the whole process of how students conduct physical and chemical tests through AI visual identification technologies and give scores in accordance with evaluation standards automatically on site via advanced algorithms that takes video data, artificial and transcendental logic and video sequence into consideration. Compared with traditional labor-based scoring, the AI smart scoring system can increase graders’ efficiency by reducing their work load, and give accurate points to all test operations, ensuring exam fairness.

To enhance service quality, Shanghai Electric Automation Group upgrades labs, computer rooms, networks, end devices and software of all schools based on their current situation with supportive information facilities under a uniformed plan step by step. The functional classrooms finished can well serve teaching and examination purposes, empowering smart education.
