The first-time hydrostatic test for boilers at Pingshan Power Plant Phase II Project ended successfully on May 31. All pressure parts of the boilers were free from deformation, rupture, nor leakage. It marks the completion of the main boiler installation.

The project, invested and built by Shenergy Group, is the world's largest ultra-supercritical double-reheat unit with cross-compound at high/low position arrangement (CCHLPA) technology. Shanghai Electric is a turnkey supplier of its main engines. As the world's first to use CCHLPA technology, the double-reheat coal-fired generator unit was recognized as a national demonstration project by the National Energy Administration.
