Pakistan Sahiwal 2X660MW supercritical project
The Sahiwal project in Pakistan is the core project under the “Belt and Road” initiative and the priority project for energy construction of “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”. The two units passed 168 hours operation on May 24, 2017 and June 8, 2017. The construction period was so short that it was called the "Sahiwal speed" and was praised by the Pakistani national leaders "created a miracle in the history of Pakistan's power construction."

    • The performance test shows the measured heat consumption is better than the guarantee value;

    • 10 years interval of overhaul, one-click start and stop;

The Sahiwal 2X660MW supercritical coal-fired power plant is the largest and most environmentally power plant in Pakistan. It is the result of Shanghai Electric's active response and participation in the “Belt and Road” construction, and the advanced power generation equipment and technology are delivered to The Silk Road country, which has made positive contributions to local economic, social development and people's well-being.
