2020，Guangdong Province-Guangdong YUDEAN Taipo Power Plant energy storage PFM project
The project owner is Guangdong Energy Group Company Limited. The project commenced implementation in 2020 and was completed in November 2021. The project is an emerging business model presented in recent years to improve the stability of the power grid, utilising the excellent performance of energy storage batteries to rapidly release and absorb active power, and thus participate in the domestic power auxiliary services market. The project relies on the core technology of the Power Transmission and Distribution Group and uses self-produced in-equipment supporting equipment.

    1.Installed capacity 18MW/9MWh

    It is the First Joint Thermal Power-Storage PFM Project of Shanghai Electric Group.

    2.A set of 18MW/9MWh energy storage and frequency regulation system has been installed and constructed on the side of 2×600MW coal-fired generating units in the plant, which utilises advanced lithium battery fast charging and discharging technology to respond to the AGC FM instruction of the power grid in a "one-two" manner, and obtains the compensation benefit from the AGC of the power grid.
