On August 20 (local time in the U.S.), ENR's 2020 Top 250 International Contractors list was released. Shanghai Electric and its subsidiary China Sinogy Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CSEEC) made the list.

Shanghai Electric ranks 160th by total revenues from EPC services for nine overseas power stations in Dubai, Wassit (Iraq), and Thar (Pakistan). CSEEC made a big move up the international engineering chart, climbing 11 places from 226th in 2019 to 215th this year.
