China's first nacelle lifting assembly with maximum rated load, independently developed by Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, has recently lifted offshore wind turbine SE 6.25-172 at the Guohua Zhugensha project. It means that China has shifted from the import of nacelle lifting assembly to in-house design and transformation. The cost of lifting assembly has been greatly brought down. Besides, it helps China break through the bottleneck in the domestic production of large nacelle lifting assembly and ensures efficient hoisting operation during peak installation hours.
The lifting assembly reflects the rich experience of Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group in reducing cost through technological innovation and hoisting offshore wind turbines, and epitomizes joint efforts of various departments in quality, procurement, logistics, and industrial services. The independently-developed structure has obtained the national utility model patent certificate. Equipped with a PLC system, the lifting assembly can automatically adjust the gravity center of structures as heavy as 500 tons. The integral hoisting of nacelles, hubs, and motors takes only 30 minutes.
The assembly has enabled offshore wind turbine hoisting in a much shorter period and at a higher quality and efficiency. It also helps Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group realize its strategic goals of "risk control, delivery guarantee, and cost reduction."
