Low-tar Biomass Staged Gasification System
Low-tar biomass staged gasification technology takes the tar problem, which is considered as the “Achilles’ heel” of the current industry, as the breakthrough point. The complexity of biomass gasification is divided into pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction processes by employing twin-bed system; Fluidized combustion in throat region could strengthen the oxidation reaction, thus the pyrolysis and oxidation kinetic reaction rates could be balanced to achieve in-situ removal of tar in gasifier. The char bed is designed to further lower the tar amount by reduction and reforming. The resulting tar content of raw fuel-gas could be reduced to as low as 50mg/Nm3.
