The Project is for vehicle plant construction with annual output more than 700,000 passenger vehicles, which produces the vehicle models such as Buick, Excelle, etc. The total investment of Phase I is CNY 7 billion, the total investment of Phase II is CNY 7.5 billion, the construction contents cover four process workshops (i.e. pressing, bodywork, painting and assembly) and the corresponding matched production & storage workshops and office facilities, etc., and the total floor area is approx. 2.38 km2. Shanghai Electric, with “Intelligent Manufacturing” as the philosophy, has designed and configured the current world advanced level process equipment and the international high standard environmental protective facilities for the overall plant. It is a green environmental protection plant integrated with streamline, agility, flexibility and modularization.
